I have over 20 years experience as a Family Day Care provider. I have been open in the Sandwich Community over 10 years now. I have attended many training workshops in all aspects of early child care and continue to do so on a regular basis. I have also taken numerous courses in childhood education. I also have an associates degree in business management.

 My Family Day Care is located in the lower level of my home. The day care is very clean, bright & cheery. It is a full walkout basement which allows plenty of natural sun light through the 4 full size windows and slider. The house was designed and built with the day care in mind, this resulted in the finished ceiling height being a full 8b high thus eliminating the basement feel you might ordinarily feel. I also designed the lower level to be totally independent of the main house and self sufficient; this includes the kitchen, bathroom and nap room.

 My philosophy is that children learn through play but I also believe in structure and routine. Your child will learn in a preschool like setting but it is also set up to feel like home. I have monthly themes and all of our activities focus around those themes. I believe physical activity is important as well. We do movement activities each day inside as well as outside. The only time we do not go outside is if it is raining or below freezing. I have complied with all EEC regulations and have wood chips under all of the play equipment which is much safer than a grassy surface.

 My family Day Care is multi-aged which is beneficial to all. The younger children learn in part through watching the older children. The older children enjoy interacting with the younger children and helping them which is great for their self esteem.

 On a daily basis, your child will learn self help skills, do art projects, learn about history, science and even bake on special occasions. I have a wide variety of learning supplies, art supplies, puzzles, books and toys for all age groups. My family day care will stimulate your childbs mind & body. They will strive and learn in a nurturing and loving environment.

 I am open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays between the hours of 7:30-5:00. I accept children ages 1 and older. I also accept school age children for before and after school as well as school vacations and summer vacations. In addition, I offer care for children who would need just one day a week of care. This is for parents who need to run errands, attend doctors appointments etc. A 4 hour commitment is required for the one day a week openings.

My license number is 2085246 which allows for a maximum of 6 children.

I am located in East Sandwich right off exit 4 of the Mid Cape Highway.
